The Eagles Will Sign Super Bowl Champion Chris Long
Mike Garafolo and Ian Rappppppppppppopopopopoport interupt the owners meetings to confirm this bit of NFL news:
And to put a bow on it, DE Chris Long has agreed to terms with the Eagles, source says.

It's a 1-year deal similar to the $2.4M he made last year with #Patriots. Smart locker room signing https://t.co/vCqBIui4Cp

The eldest son of Howie Long, Chris spent the first eight seasons of his career in St. Louis before playing with New England last year. He’s played in all 16 games in 7 of his 9 seasons. Long’s 2014 season was shortened due to ankle surgery.
White Thunder – which is his nickname at least according to Pro Football Reference – was the second overall pick in 2008 and turns 32 today (HAPPY BIRTHDAY!). He has twice been in the top 10 in the league in sacks (13 in 2011 for 7th place, and 11.5 in 2012 for 9th), though he hasn’t totaled more than 4 since 2013. Last season, he notched 22 tackles and 13 assisted tackles, and added one more tackle in the AFC Championship game while playing as a situational pass rusher. He also did this in the Super Bowl:

I don’t have a PR person – just Jim – so I have to do this myself:
Anonymous source: Barring anything crazy, Eagles likely to land Alshon Jeffrey.

I wouldn’t be shocked if the Eagles signed Stefen Wisniewski today.

I wonder if the Eagles will sign someone like Super Bowl champion Chris Long…

I DON’T KNOW WHY YOU’D READ ANY OTHER SITE!
I should do one of those over-the-top advertising campaigns where I put my face on a billboard with some hokey slogan like “HARD-HITTING SPORTS NEWS FROM YOUR MAMA’S BASEMENT” and my Twitter handle. Or… you could just follow me (@CrossingBroad).
