The four names that make up the top three across the majority of sportsbooks and mock drafts are Carter, Cam Ward, Travis Hunter, and Shedeur Sanders. There’s been a lot of chatter about Sanders and the Giants at #3, but the oddsmakers have Carter listed as the overwhelming favorite there for the time being. The Giants have Russell Wilson in the fold but did hold a private workout for Sanders last week.
With Sanders being the wild card, most mock drafts go Ward/Hunter/Carter, then LSU tackle Will Campbell followed by Michigan DT Mason Graham. From there it starts to diverge a bit, with Ashton Jeanty popping up on some boards alongside Armand Membou and Jalon Walker. Sanders to the Saints at #9 overall (+180) is now the prevailing thought among the erudite PA sports betting draftniks. Some mocks have Sanders falling as far as the late first round, the Steelers at 21 being a potential pick, while Penn State’s Tyler Warren is hovering right around the top 10 in other mocks.
The other interesting nugget is that the highest ticket total for pick #4 is Carter at 16.1% That’s likely due to bettors previously thinking the Giants would take Sanders at three, leaving Carter to fall to the Patriots. Warren has more than 25% of the handle for picks #7 and #10, with the Jets and Bears being ideal targets for him.

It would be… disappointing to see Abdul Carter wind up with the New York Giants, but as previously stated, we could conceivably generate enough libel and slander to send him plummeting down the board. Quick – someone photoshop a picture of Carter doing bong hits while wearing a gas mask.
