Cristopher Sanchez inside Citizens Bank Park has been one of the best pitchers in Major League Baseball since the start of last season. Sanchez produced 16 of his 19 strikeouts this season at home and more are expected on Thursday afternoon against the San Francisco Giants. Sanchez and the Phillies are listed at -185 on the money line for the series finale.

The Giants are countering with Jordan Hicks, who allowed 10 runs on 14 hits in his last two starts. Those numbers alone should make you want to fade the Giants. Hicks’ recent statistics also make you lean toward betting a handful of Phillies batter props. There’s a very limited sample size of at-bats for Phillies hitters against Hicks, who used to be a reliever with the St. Louis Cardinals. Lefties should have a field day against Hicks, who has allowed a .333 opposing batting average to left-handed batters early on this season. That puts Kyle Schwarber, Bryce Harper and Max Kepler in the mix as the best Phillies to wager on.

Harper is on a five-game hitting streak and hit a home run in consecutive games on Tuesday and Wednesday. He looks like the favorite to bet on with DraftKings’ No Sweat Home Run bet. Schwarber recorded a hit in the last two games and Kepler had two base knocks in the last two games versus the Giants. A Same Game Parlay of hits for all three left-handed hitters is anywhere from +250 to +310 at various books. Kepler and Schwarber each have odds under -200 to record a hit. A total bases SGP for the three lefties lands you between +1200 and +1300.

FanDuel has a profit boost available for Wednesday’s games and ESPN Bet has two profit boosts available.

You can also mix in Sanchez’s strikeout prop to any SGP combination. The Giants have the sixth-highest strikeout totals in the majors. Sanchez has had seven and nine strikeouts in his two home starts. That makes the over 5.5 strikeouts for Sanchez a very enticing bet. A strong home outing is the expectation now for Sanchez, and if that form continues, the Phils will certainly be in the mix to split the series with the Giants. A win would be nice on Thursday to create a bit of momentum heading into a home weekend series against the Marlins that should be a bloodbath. There are plenty of options for PA sports betting ahead of a compelling weekend series.
