Emmitt Smith was on 96.7 The Ticket where he bitched and moaned about being sick of hearing “Go Birds’ everywhere he goes now that the Eagles just won their second Super Bowl:

96.7 The Ticket: “Emmitt how tired do you get about people talking about the drought?”

Emmitt Smith: “I’m sick of it…We have allowed others to come and nitpick at the star and make fun of the star and that’s what happens…now all of a sudden over the last 20 years they win two Super Bowls and they think they’re the best thing on the doggone planet, and everywhere I go I hear, ‘Go Birds.’ I’m sick of hearing, ‘Go Birds.’ I’m always asking where are you going? You still got a long way to go to get to us.”

“That part bugs me, it bugs me because in my heart I truly believe our organization should be contending for an NFC Championship and even a Super Bowl at least once or twice every decade because every team recycles every decade. For us not to be there over the last 30 years is a crying shame.”

Eagles fans when they see Emmitt Smith:

Man that made me so happy to hear. Cowboys fans watch the best moments in their franchise’s history on a VHS tape. I love these hosts carrying the water for Jerry Jones and the organization. They’re acting like there isn’t pressure on any other team to get out of the first round of the playoffs. Am I hearing that correctly? If Nick Sirianni lost in the first round to the Packers this year he’s probably not back. That’s not pressure? What about the players who are playing for the Patriots whose fans just experienced the greatest run in football history. There’s no pressure from fans to get back there? The Chiefs don’t have pressure to continue their dominance? What the hell is that guy talking about. Sure the Cowboys still have the most popular brand in the NFL, but miss me with the pressure stuff. The amount of big games these guys have played in college mixed with their lives playing out 24/7 on social media while their family relies on them is more than enough pressure. Just sounds like more excuses for a team that hasn’t made the NFC Championship game in 30 years. The funniest part about this whole thing is this was Emmitt only two years ago:
