The Phillies Added a Giant Target For Kyle Schwarber to Hit the Ball At This Season
The Phillies added an Xfinity logo above the batters eye in centerfield this year:
A look at the new Xfinity logo that’ll stay above the batter’s eye at Citizens Bank Park. It’ll be part of a new “home run takeover” light display. Pretty big change for this year. pic.twitter.com/9rHQSNBtks

I know people’s immediate thought is going to be to hate this shit, but I think it kind of looks cool. I’m on the record that I don’t care about ads in the ballpark. As long as they use that money to keep paying guys and making CBP one of the best stadiums in the league then you can decorate every square inch like a NASCAR jumpsuit. That’s just the name of the game. Did you see the FanDuel graphic on the broadcast from Thursday? IT’S HUGE! It looks like it ate the PointsBet one (RIP). The best part about all of this is that it gives Kyle Schwarber a target now. Now if it starts to mess with guy’s timing or their sight line we’re gonna have some problems.
It’s kind of funny how much it looks like CBP is sponsored by Twitter now. These X logos look the exact same:
There’s also a joke about it only working half the time because Comcast, but that’s been beaten to death enough today.
If that pisses you off at least there is some good news the Phillies have new things like food, ice cream helmets, giveaways, and a sound system:
