Now that the reprehensible “First Four” games have been played, it’s time for March Madness to truly begin.

We don’t have any local teams in the tournament, for the third season in a row, but the beautiful thing is that you don’t have to have a rooting interest to enjoy the tournament.

Case in point, the High Point Panthers are getting a ton of love. ESPN Bet sent over some betting insights on Thursday morning and High Point is everywhere:

Notable Line Movement

  • High Point opened +10.5 vs Purdue, now +7.5
  • Louisville opened –1.5, now –2.5 vs Creighton
  • VCU opened +3.5, now +2.5 vs BYU
  • Michigan opened –3.5, now –2.5 vs UC San Diego

Thursday’s Most Bet Games by total handle

  • UC San Diego @ Michigan
  • Montana @ Wisconsin

The High Point Panthers went 29-5 and won the Big South. They’re on a 14-game winning streak and received the 13 seed in the Midwest regional, a sexy pick against a Purdue team that went to the final last year but has three losses to double-digit seeds in their last four NCAA tournament appearances. That line has moved three points and people are still hammering the over. This is a 12:40 p.m. game, so we’re gonna find out early whether or not the High Point Panthers are for real. You down with HPP? Yeah you know me!
