Azeez Ojulari is a Philadelphia Eagle:

Right, so that’s seven players from the 2020 Georgia defense on this Eagles roster. Add Ojulari to the group of Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis, Nakobe Dean, Nolan Smith, Kelee Ringo, and Lewis Cine. Just gotta see if we can pry Travon Walker, Tyson Campbell, Eric Stokes, etc. away from their respective teams, then we’re cooking with gas.

Ojulari’s deal is reportedly worth $4 million. The Eagles are using this year to give themselves cap relief and try a bunch of guys on one-year contracts. No problem with that. Ojulari is a guy who flashed at times on a crappy New York team and logged 22 sacks in four seasons despite missing games through injury. You’ve got a classic low-risk, high-reward, “if he can stay healthy” kind of signing here, and no doubt the change of scenery plays a role. Ojulari probably could have gotten more money elsewhere but he’s got a chance to jumpstart his career playing for a proper franchise that actually knows what it’s doing. You leave New York for Philly and good things will happen. For a recent example, see: Barkley, Saquon.

Let’s give Azeez a warm Philadelphia welcome.
