Pac-12 and ACC for Brennaman this year. The article notes that he’ll do Oregon State vs. Idaho State on August 31st, but “predominantly work on the ACC.” That begs the question of whether this is redemption or further punishment. Boston College? Wake Forest? Pitt? I’m just surprised they found someone willing to watch those teams play, let alone carry the broadcast. Heyo!
If you don’t remember the story, Brennaman was on a hot mic when he said this about Kansas City:

Brennaman was suspended and ultimately canned from his Cincinnati Reds gig. He was also pulled from FOX’s NFL coverage. Afterward, he did a stint calling baseball games in the Puerto Rican Roberto Clemente League and later took on a role doing high school sports in Cincinnati for an outlet called “Chatterbox Sports.” Whatever it takes. When you get fired, you gotta build back better. Not everybody gets a second chance.
