Torpedo Bats are all the rage early in the MLB season. Every team is using them and Victus Sports is working around the clock to produce them. We got a behind the scenes look at the new bats and then I challenged former Phillies All-Star Dom Brown to a Torpedo Bat Home Run Derby. Are the Torpedo Bats powerful enough to even help a schlub like me launch one out of CBP?

I’ll tell you what Dom Brown is MASSIVE! It’s a lot different seeing a dude who’s a decade removed from the MLB still built like a linebacker and hitting second deck bombs. At one point he stood like 10 feet from the machine to warm up. According to one of the Victus guys it was the equivalent to seeing 100 mph. Like Danny Almonte vs. those poor Little Leaguers from Davenport, Iowa. I knew I was in trouble then and once he went into backwards hat mode.

Also, you might’ve seen he was wearing an Eagles hat in the video and remember there was that mini-scandal in Philly where he showed up to an Eagles game rooting for the Cowboys:

Don’t worry I confirmed that he’s now an Eagles fan. Is that worse? I don’t know. He’s from Florida and he now calls the Delaware Valley his home after playing for the hometown baseball team. Lets chalk it up to a man knowing the error of his ways. It’s no worse than a kid from Delco who likes the Giants because his uncle lives in Paramus and he saw them beat the Patriots when he was eight. As long as he’s shouting “Go Birds” at Emmitt Smith I don’t care. Shout out to Victus for letting us get in there and make this video on their busiest week of the the company’s life!
