FanDuel Locked Nick Castellanos' Home Run Prop After the Pope Died
The jokes write themselves with this one. The powers that be over at FanDuel know that when tragedy happens and Nick Castellanos has a game that night, he strikes. That’s why they locked his home run prop for game one against the Mets:

Realistically, this was probably the AI getting triggered after a bunch of people bet on the same home run prop an odd amount in a little bit of time, but that’s still hilariously impressive. You gotta love the fact that someone like the Pope dies early in the morning and before anyone can wipe the booger from their eyes they’ve gotta get an anytime HR bet in on FanDuel. What’s more, a Castey home run is the most bet player prop today and has the largest handle on ESPN Bet. That’s not just in baseball. That’s across every single sport you can bet on. NBA and NHL playoffs. EPL, and that’s the biggest sport in the world. It’s a great bit even if it only works less than 1% of the time. I mean this guy hit a home run on the night Osama Bin Laden was killed. The Thom Brennaman video will be played for generations. You could argue when Joe Biden dropped out of the Presidential race and Donald Trump was nearly assassinated the biggest story was actually Nick Castellanos that day.
Oh it’s the 23rd anniversary of 9/11? Great time to hit dingers:
