Mets Fan Says He Was Kicked Out of Citizens Bank Park for Being a Mets Fan (UPDATED)
Gonna go out on a limb and say there’s more to the story here:

In the IG comments, the guy says “Just so ya know I went there by myself looking for no problems and the fans were bumping me smacking my hat off my head and I held my composure until we started scoring and I started screaming let’s to (sic) Mets!!! And I got kicked.”
Sounds like something California sports fans would do. Not Phillies fans. We’ll need corroboration on this, so let me know if you witnessed this. Let me know what this guy said or did to get booted. We’re gonna be Eyewitness News now, since channel 3 rebranded to CBS News Philadelphia.
You do have to laugh at the guy filming himself yelling “Let’s go Mets” over and over again before he says “fuck outta here” three times in a row while giving the middle finger. That might provide a clue, but we don’t want to assume that just because someone is being an asshole now doesn’t mean they were being an asshole then. Gimme a shout if you saw what happened here, kevin.k@xlmedia.com.
EDIT – We heard from some Phillies fans in this section who said the fan was egging people on and that it looked like something bad was going to happen. This comment is from Facebook: “We were in this section. About 10 rows up. I never saw him do anything physical other than get in people’s faces bad. He was drunk and the taunting was way over the top and while we expect it the language wasn’t ideal bc it was directed at all the fans including the kids around. He got in someone’s face and they flipped his hat off and that’s when they started calling for security bc he was getting more hype. The issue I saw was when they got to him finally (top of the 9tu I think) he went off on them hard and their reaction was like nah – you’re gone when it looked like they just went to check out the scene and calm him down. Like the guy at the end of the video saying they are saving your life – it’s probably why they did it. He had inflamed the section so badly he was likely getting jumped by someone at some point as a result of his behavior. The the sad part about this video is seeing all the seats empty from Phillies fans who bailed in the eighth inning. The rest of the Mets fans in the section and the Phillies fans completely got along with normal banter back-and-forth and nothing out of line”
