The List of Major Moments Preceding a Nick Castellanos Homer is Insane
Nick Castellanos homered after Joe Biden withdrew from the Presidential race, as Nick Castellanos is wont to do:

Of course he did. Because every time there is big news, or someone dies, or apologizes, Nick Castellanos will be there to hit a home run. Don’t believe me?
Look at this list:
Nick Castellanos has hit home runs on the same day as:
– the death Osama Bin-Laden
– Brennaman hot-mic apology
– Queen Elizabeth’s death
– update on Charlie Manuel following a stroke
– I-95 collapse in Philadelphia
– Trump assassination attempt
– Biden ending re-election bid pic.twitter.com/32j7wqB81m— Louis Addeo-Weiss (@addeo_louis00) July 22, 2024
Now the home run on the same day Trump was shot should have an asterisk next to it since it came before the attempt. But his home run did come 15 minutes after Richard Simmons died, so it still counts! Lets look into all of them.
Osama Bin Laden:
It’s funnier when you learn that Nick Castellanos hit his first professional home run on the night Osama Bin Laden was killed https://t.co/EWOSxrGnZm pic.twitter.com/KvwLjA7jwU

Nick Castellanos was a young pup on a Single A team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He didn’t know at the time, but that wasn’t going to be the biggest shot in his life that night. It would change the course of history though.
Thom Brennaman apology:
The most famous of Nick Castellanos’ home runs came during Thom Brennaman’s apology for using a homophobic slur. The quote “As there’s a drive into deep left field by Castellanos…” is probably more widely known in some circles than Neil Armstrong’s “One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” Now Brennaman is back on the CW calling ACC football. Just in time for a slip up late in October when the Phils need some pop in the NLCS.
Queen Elizabeth II:
This is getting out of hand, innit?
Charlie Manuel’s stroke update:

Everyone’s reaction when they saw Castey do it again:
I-95 Collapse:

HE HAS DONE IT AGAIN pic.twitter.com/0DzsOBoVt8

One of the worst days in this city’s history. People were convinced we wouldn’t be traveling on I-95 for a decade. Spirits were low. Thank god for Nick Castellanos to lift us up in our time of sadness.
Here are some more that have happened while broadcasts were honoring and eulogizing individuals:
Here is the Royals broadcast of the Nick Castellanos home run.
They were eulogizing someone live on the air when it Nick went deep to left-center field.
You can not make this stuff up.

A somber moment on Memorial Day is interrupted by, who else, Nick Castellanos. pic.twitter.com/F3cJv6vDTB

We’re probably losing the plot on the Castellanos meme, but it’s still hilarious that whenever something bad goes wrong or there’s some big news that affects the world here comes Nick Castellanos to the plate to make sure people remember the day forever. He even got his first hit as a Phillie while the Blue Jays broadcast crew was reading an apology from the pitching coach who was recently arrested for a DUI:

The dude has a flair for the dramatic.
