NFL on Netflix:

Blurb: “Netflix has an early Christmas gift for you — but it won’t fit under the tree. On Dec. 25, 2024, we’ll be the global home of the NFL’s two Christmas Day marquee games. And mark your calendar for Christmas Day in 2025 and 2026 when we’ll be streaming at least one holiday game each year as part of this three-season deal.”

Christmas is on a Wednesday this year, and like we’ve always said, there’s no tradition like firing up your ala carte streaming service to watch mid-week Yuletide football.  As Clark Griswold famously stated, “Nobody’s walking out on this fun, old-fashioned family Christmas. No, we’re all in this together. We’re gonna press on and watch NFL football, and have the hap-hap-happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap danced with Danny fucking Kaye.”

Now, the Christmas Day matchups aren’t out yet. The games could be terrible, but if last year’s ratings were any indication, they will blow the NBA out of the water and it won’t be close. The NFL could put the Commanders and Cardinals on Xmas Day and it would still quintuple the NBA numbers.
