I Support Nick Sirianni's Stance of Never Doing an In-Game Interview
Honestly, I didn’t even realize this, but I support it:
Nick Sirianni tells us that he’s never done an in-game interview: “I’ve never done one. I don’t want to talk to anybody at that time except my coaches and players.”
DeCamara: “Do they fine you?”

As it should be, honestly. These guys are required to do enough media as it is. We don’t need the useless halftime or commercial break interview.
Ask yourself a question – when’s the last time you listened to an in-game interview and learned something? Or were enlightened in any way, shape, or form? 99.9% of the time you get boilerplate answers to banal questions.
Reporter: “Coach you’re down seven points at halftime, what do you need to see from your team in the second half?”
Coach: “We’ve just gotta cut down on mistakes and execute better.”
Reporter: “Zach Wilson 0 for 27 to start, what do you tell your young quarterback?”
Coach: “One play at a time. We need to do a better job of putting him in positions to be successful.”
Reporter: “Thanks coach.”
Coach: “Thank you.”
Wow amazing! Really getting the important answers to important questions.
This should be illegal, honestly. Coaches and players should be required to do one thing only during the course of a game. Coach and play. Leave them alone. I know these things are contractually obligated and bargained for, but it doesn’t mean they’re not utterly meaningless. The people do not want in-game interviews. Power to the people!
