It’s a new era of orange, motherfuckers:

The last part of the Wells Fargo Center rehaul was a transformation of the event floor. That’s the bowels of the arena, with the locker rooms, loading dock, press conference and media room, etc. It really needed some love because there are always a million people running around there.

But yeah, new locker rooms look sick. You’ve got the Stanley Cups right when you walk in, and there’s a panel on the left paying homage to Ed Snider. Big video screen and whiteboards for Torts to go over the game plan, and just more space overall. They also put the logo on the ceiling so nobody will whine about the sanctity of stepping on it, which is some of the dumbest shit you will always hear. If you don’t want anyone stepping on the logo, don’t put it on the ground. Yeah?

Reminder, if you’re going to the home opener, if was moved up to a 6 p.m. start time. Will be a total cluster down there with Flyers/Canucks, Phils/D Backs, and Germany vs. L Tri at the Linc.
