The Phillies might’ve awoken a sleeping giant, but Orlando Arcia just tugged on Superman’s cape. From Jake Mintz at Fox Sports.com:

While Riley’s blast flipped the score, Harris’ outrageous snag and Harper’s consequent blunder was the talk of Atlanta’s locker room after the game. Kevin Pillar’s young son, sporting a custom “Money Mike” headband, waddled over to his favorite center fielder for a fist bump. Third-string catcher Chadwick Tromp strutted by Harris’ locker offering a congratulatory “Mike is him!” All while Braves shortstop Orlando Arcia cackled emphatically about Harper’s misfortune, bellowing “ha-ha, atta-boy, Harper,” repeatedly as reporters circled the room.

This is one of those quotes where if you’re in the clubhouse and you hear it you brush it off as no big deal, but when you read it in print you’re like, “Oh, lets fucking go!” This is exactly what the series needed. An enemy. We’ve already torn the mascot limb from limb and now my sights are focused on someone who can actually affect the game. Well… not affect because Arcia is batting .143 with a .286 OPS in the series, but someone that can get Phillies fans going when he steps up to the plate for the first time Wednesday. Personally, if I was batting .143 in the series, I would’ve celebrated with my team and headed right to the cage instead of giving something to fire up an already pissed off Harper. I hate Arcia. He’s the cockiest little prick on an entire team full of cocky pricks. I sat behind the Braves dugout once during the regular season (sick brag dude) and he was fucking around with fans all game and the loudest one on the top step talking shit. The only thing I remember from another bullpen loss in mid-May.

Good job though. Get your laughs in. I’m sure chirping the best player on the Phillies hasn’t backfired before:
