John Kincade Says Colon Cancer Surgery "Went A+"
Update from John:
I just wanted to let everyone know your prayers and support are invaluable! I was able to come home last evening and I’m resting now in my own bed. Surgery went A+ and I await the pathology results. One hurdle at a time. Thank you again! @975JKShow @975TheFanatic pic.twitter.com/NSpa23FYlM

He announced last Friday that he was stepping away from the 97.5 morning show following a colon cancer diagnosis. Sounds like they caught it relatively early and that the surgery went well, so that’s great to hear. The Fanatic has had Bob Cooney leading the morning show, with Devon Givens filling in for John, and obviously there’s no word on when he’ll be back on the radio.
This is Kincade’s third bout with cancer. He beat Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma back in the 90s and also defeated testicular cancer, so he’s batting 1.000 right now. This is also a great reminder to get regular screenings if you’re 45 or older. The colonoscopy prep is quite the experience, to say the least, but it’s better than colon cancer.
