Jay Wright Says He No Longer had the "Edge"
Jay Wright officially retired today. Still feels weird to say that out loud. During the press conference, he said he had been contemplating this move for a couple of seasons and that he had lost his “edge” –
Jay Wright gets emotional talking about how he knew he didn’t have the same edge during the season and he says he was not at the top of his game but his staff did a tremendous job this year

Was it NIL? Was it the transfer portal? Did the cell phone scandal finally catch up to him, and Villanova’s hands were tied knowing there are postseason penalties coming? Who knows? I’m just hoping we’re getting a new coach at Nova who cares about the legendary history of the Big 5. I hope Kyle Neptune will show it the proper grace and dignity it deserves.
Also, the least Jay could’ve done is finally tell us what really happened between Scottie Reynolds and Corey Fisher. Did Corey Fisher really get Scottie’s girl pregnant? Don’t the people who had the Wildcats going to the Final Four in their bracket deserve to know?
