Heat vs. Bucks Player Props (May 24, 2021)
The Milwaukee Bucks earned a hard-fought overtime victory against the Miami Heat in Game 1 at the Fiserv Forum on Saturday night. In that game, Khris Middleton racked up a game-high 27 points, including the OT winner with 0.5 seconds remaining. Meanwhile, the league’s reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo put up 26 points to go with 18 rebounds and 5 assists in the win. Offseason acquisition Jrue Holiday more than pulled his weight with 20 points and 11 rebounds.

The Miami Heat managed to force overtime when Jimmy Butler swooped to the rim from the right wing, converting a late layup to tie the game at 99 points apiece as the final buzzer sounded. Butler’s 17 points were the third-highest total for his team, behind Goran Dragić (25) and Duncan Robinson (24).
Will Milwaukee take a commanding 2-0 lead in the series or will the Heat earn a critical win with the series headed to Miami?
Khris Middleton to Score 20+ Points (-164, FanDuel Sportsbook)
Khris Middleton had an excellent overall performance in Game 1, including the game-winning shot in overtime with 0.5 seconds left in the extra session. Middleton’s 27 points in Game 1 were certainly a boost to the player’s morale and likely took some heat off, as he’s been singled out over the years as not living up to his contract, perhaps leading in part to the speculation that Antetokounmpo might consider leaving the Bucks in free agency (prior to re-signing this season).
Middleton found success against the Heat in last season’s bubble playoffs, putting up at least 23 points in four of Milwaukee’s five games against Miami, including a 36-point outburst in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
As for recent trends, keep in mind that Middleton racked up at least 21 points in eight of his last nine regular season games, including his final regular season game which came against the Heat. He also dropped 25 points on Miami in the first meeting between the teams this season.
With all of this in mind, it stands to reason Middleton will hit the 20 point mark in Game 2.

Brook Lopez to Record Over 4.5 Rebounds (-155, BetMGM)
Bucks center Brook Lopez is a consistent, stabilizing force in the middle for a team that isn’t exactly deep on the interior. In Milwaukee’s 109-107 overtime victory, Lopez played a vital role in the victory, scoring 18 points and pulling down 8 rebounds.
As the Bucks wrapped up their regular season, Lopez ramped up his overall rebounding numbers, pulling down at least six rebound in five of his last six games, including his final regular season game against the Heat. In fact, Lopez’ 5.8 rebounds per game in the month of May represented his highest monthly per game average.
It’s worth noting that Lopez pulled down at least six rebounds in two of three meetings against Miami in the regular season, as well as in four of five playoff meetings against the Heat a season ago. It’s clearly a team he feels confident in going up against in the paint and we expect him to get physical in Game 2.

Tyler Herro to Record Over 15.5 Combined Points, Rebounds, and Assists (-113, DraftKings Sportsbook)
Sophomore guard Tyle Herro has had some up-and-down moments for the Heat this season. While his three-point shooting percentage dipped from 38.9% in his rookie season to 36.0% this season, his points per game jumped from 13.5 to 15.1, while his rebounds per game (5.0) and assists per. game (3.4) also exceeded his production from a season ago.
When it comes to the “15.5 Combined Points, Rebounds, and Assists” market, Herro could be a solid bet to go over. Although he missed the mark by 0.5 in Game 1 (10 PTS, 2 REB, 3 AST), he did so in four of his last regular season games after missing six games for the Heat from April 24-May 4.
His production in his third and final regular season matchup against the Bucks was underwhelming, but in his first two games against Milwaukee, he averaged 22 points, 9 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game.
Looking back to last postseason for an indication of future success would also indicate a likelihood of Herro hitting the over, as he totaled more than 15.5 combined points, rebounds, and assists in four of five games against the Bucks in last season’s Eastern Conference Semifinals.
