Meantime:

Now, as we all know, the Sixers’ Game 5 hopes are contingent on whether or not Joel Embiid takes part in shootaround. If you don’t get some shots up, you are “tone deaf.” And if you “allow” the PR staff to tell Tim Bontemps that you have a migraine, you’re unaccountable.

Thing is, Joel Embiid was already working his way back from (another) knee injury, so missing shootaround would be 100% justifiable considering he played 44 minutes on that repaired knee this past Sunday. And we’ll go ahead and assume that the Bell’s Palsy and migraine reports are true, and not fabricated, which would further deem acceptable the idea of sitting out the morning routine.

Even then, the guy is averaging 35, 9, and 5 this series while playing through those various ailments. Based on some of the takes out there, you’d think he was shooting 35% from the floor and dogging it. He’s not 100% and rarely is come postseason. We’ve been here before.
